London Queer Fashion Show is a firm reminder that the LGBTQ+ community is overflowing with talent, artistry, and brilliance. Last month, after a three-year hiatus, the show felt like a secret sanctuary, a universe away from the binary, patriarchal expectations of the world.

With The Summer I Turned Pretty quickly joining the list of well-executed book adaptations, everyone’s been noticing the actors, their chemistry and their outfits. In honour of that, here are some of our favourite outfits from TV shows over the years!

Blending in is the worst thing you would want to do if you like to dress. But you will learn at your own expense – or you probably already know – that it is one of the top golden rules in the workplace. It’s all about safety. Like a pack, if you want to survive, you have to merge into the masses, both physically and morally, to be included and appreciated.

The fashion industry was nothing like it is today: you never or rarely saw POC models on magazine covers or on the runway.

2020 has undoubtedly been a whirlwind of a year, especially for fashion. Although the ‘stay at home,’ style was a necessity for us all, and our pyjama collection has never come so handy, a new wave of trends is forecasting this year, where we are ditching the sweatpants, and finally feeling good about ourselves. 

Once I realized my sketches looked like a kindergartener’s coloring book, I then decided to just stick to admiring, researching and writing about fashion. Which was a good thing because it led me to have a newfound respect and love for fashion.
